The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Helsinki is announcing a call for applications for the position of intern for the period from January 18 to June 30, 2027.
Internship Description:
- Conducting systematic research and preparing summaries in the political and economic fields
- Analyzing political and economic news reports, as well as operational and strategic documents, including preparing summaries and background materials for the embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Participating in meetings, conferences, seminars, and other events, including independently taking minutes of these events
- Contributing to the preparation and implementation of economic diplomacy activities (support for Czech exports)
- Participation in liaison activities
- Administrative and logistical support for embassy activities
- Performance of other assigned tasks related to the embassy’s responsibilities
Requirements for applicants:
- English proficiency at least at the C1 level is required (mandatory); knowledge of Finnish is welcome (not required)
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks in a timely, accurate, systematic, and creative manner
- Analytical skills
- Basic understanding of foreign policy, with an emphasis on Northern Europe, the EU, security, and economic issues
- Flexibility with regard to working hours
- Proficiency in using office applications (Microsoft) and the ability to conduct high-quality, in-depth online research
The internship will take place primarily at the embassy in Helsinki. The expected workload is approximately 40 hours per week, as agreed upon before the internship begins.
Applicants for the internship must be Czech citizens, full-time university students, or university graduates who have completed their studies no more than one year prior, and must have a clean criminal record.
